We can assist in the production of effective website copy. Depending on your budget we may work with you directly or utilse a specialist partner to ensure your content is suitably search engine optimised.

If you would like to draft copy for your website then we suggest supplying it in the following format:

  • One document for each page of your website
    • Each document should be named with the required web page title
    • The page title should include your chosen primary keyword/phrase for SEO purposes
    • The pages primary keyword/phrase should be included in the H1 heading of each page
    • You should include your page’s meta description at the head of each document (50 – 160 characters, which should include your primary keyword/phrase for the page). Note the meta description can be used by search engines when displaying search results.
    • Finally you should include secondary keywords (usually close variations or synonyms of your target keyword/phrase) for each page of your website.
    • As a rule of thumb you should include 2 -5 secondary keywords per page, dependant on the length of your copy and these should be included in sub headings and utilised in relevant internal links.
  • Photography should be supplied.
    • Place images within the flow of your document as you would like them to appear i.e. relevant to the copy they are illustrating.
    • If images are relevant to the content of your page (rather than being purely decorative) they should be captioned with Alt text relevant to their content. Remember to utilise your keywords/phrases as relevant when doing this.
    • Images should also be supplied seperately to your content document so that we can access and optimise the best quality of images for use on your page.
  • Stock photography
    •  Please ensure all photography supplied for use on your website is appropriately licensed.
    • We can provide assistance with selecting stock photography.
  • Video content can be uploaded to a platform such as YouTube or Vimeo.
    • Please get in touch if you need any help with this.
    • If you have video files that require editing or optimising before they are suitable for uploading then we can help you with that.
